Chris Copeland
Chris was born in Charleston, South Carolina because his father was in the Air Force, but his family is from Texas. He grew up in Fort Worth Texas. The majority of his family is still in Fort Worth or Lubbock, Texas.
After high school he went to college at Pensacola Christian College where he received a Bachelors and Master’s in Music.
He began teaching music in a small Christian school in Nashville where he met his wife Rebecca, who was a first year Kindergarten teacher at the same school. They were married and moved to Memphis in 1995. Chris has served in 4 different churches in Shelby County before coming to FMCC.
Chris and Rebecca have 2 daughters. Mckenzie graduated from Mississippi College with a BA in Elementary Education. She now lives and teaches Kindergarten in Brandon, Mississippi. Kennedy is a senior at Collierville high school and loves choir and theater. She is interested in going into nursing when she goes to college.
Chris enjoys riding his road bicycle and enjoys all sports. His favorite is being an avid Memphis Grizzlies fan. Go GRIZZ!!
